Introducing the plug & play Dash Mount designed specifically to fit your AIM MXP & MXP Strada into your BMW.
A bespoke design developed specifically for the BMW E46. This plug & play cluster insert allows you to mount your AIM MXP (& MXP Strada) digital dash whilst retaining the OEM fitment of the original cluster.
This cluster insert is compatible with all models of E46 including, M3 & Compact.
Using our state-of-the-art 3D Scanning equipment we scanned and reverse engineered the OEM cluster to ensure:-
- Perfect alignment of the factory screws
- OEM viewing angle
- Excellent fitment into the instrument panel
Using the reverse engineered model and applying automotive grade engineering software, backed with over a decade of experience working with premium OEMs, all surfaces have been developed in-house specifically for this application. We have also created an ergonomic design that maintains finger access to the AIMs built in buttons.
The finished model is then sent to one of our large platform 3D printers. We use the very best carbon fibre reinforced nylon filament to ensure that heat, UV & cleaning chemicals will not have any impact on the finished product, and that it can survive the hostile environment of an all-out race car.
The cluster insert comes supplied with 4 x M4x12 stainless steel screws and washers to attach the AIM unit. Simply reuse the 2 existing BMW screws to secure the assembly to the vehicle.
N.B. Do not over-torque the screws as damage to both the insert and AIM unit are possible, Loctite is recommended for this application.
Please note that this product is 3D Printed and as such some small imperfections are possible. Where imperfections are present it is normally hidden behind the AIM unit itself. However, if there is any cause for concern, please contact us before fitting the product and we will assist.
